Alongside its outstanding processability, polyethylene (PE) displays good chemical resistance and offers strength and rigidity within a temperature range of between – 40 °C and + 80 °C. Due to the inclusion of soot particles, PE is resistant to UV light and therefore also suitable for long-term outdoor applications. The electrically conductive material PE-EL dissipates static charges and prevents sparking.

SIMONA product range includes FM approved PE pipes and fittings as well as standard PE pipes and fittings. FM approval is a certificate given by FM Global for materials that require outstanding standards and tested by FM Global

FM approval is required for pipes and fittings that are used in underground fire extinguish lines.

SIMONA PE 100 FM approved pipes are tested at 175 psi = 12 bar.
