Petrochemistry

PP and PVDF materials are used for lining of inside surfaces of tanks which has corrosive chemicals or production of plastic tanks. This provides longer operation time and prevents abrasion and corrosion problems caused by acids.

PTFE material is preferred for sealing applications. Some usage areas of PTFE are below.

• Sealing parts such as gaskets, seals, V-rings, O-rings and joints
• Vessel and reactor covers
• Mixers
• Pipes, fittings, valves and pump covers

Cast polyamide materals can be used without lubrication. Therefore this material is used rotative and slidable machmine part production such as gears and pulleys. It takes place of some iron, steel and aluminum parts due to corrosion, abrasion and impact resistanc.
